Carolyn Rodriguez is a youth advocate and non-profit professional dedicated to providing direct service, partnering, and assisting families with community authorities. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephew. Carolyn joined the board of directors to ensure that every Jersey City resident in particular, regardless of their economic or cultural background, can thrive in the local economy.
Keisher Harris has been passionate about community activism for over 30 years. She is a longtime Jersey City resident. It has an AS Public Policy; BS Urban Studies; MPA and currently in pursuit of BS Theology. Associations with HOPE (helping other people everywhere); Storms Avenue Block Association; Women rise; AmeriCorps, Bergen Communities United (BCU): New City Kids; Court-appointed specialist for foster children (CASA); JC Ms. Harris is currently the Elder Elect of Macedonia Redeemed Pentecostal Church and seeks to strengthen and nurture relationships to build empowered communities.
Erika Coleman (she / she) is Vice President, Diversity Recruiting at Goldman Sachs, leading Americaâs diversity recruiting efforts to democratize access to opportunity in the financial services industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and has lived in Jersey City for over 15 years. She has held various talent acquisition positions at the company for over 13 years, but is particularly passionate about creating inclusive workplace cultures, which is why she joined this advisory board.
Carlos Abreu grew up in the Heights, lived in New York for two decades, and eventually moved back to downtown Jersey City with his late husband in 2005. Carlos currently lives in Bergen-Lafayette and is a foodie, cat lover, science fiction lover, hard worker, and songwriter. He is a longtime advocate for the homeless, LGBTQ community, and small business. He has worked on a variety of fully and partially pro bono web development projects for the city, county and NGOs. Carlos joins the advisory board to make better use of all of the time he’s spent around the block than just pinpointing the people on social media.
Natalie Guy serves as Chief Operating Officer at Philip’s Academy Charter School in Newark, NJ, and manages all non-curricular initiatives for one of over 500 PreK-8 schools. She acts as co-director and manages all non-academic aspects of the school’s operational processes. Previous positions Natalie held were Independent Consultant, Vice President of Diversity Strategy at Morgan Stanley, and Chief of Staff, Newark Public Schools Advisory Board President. Natalie lives in the Greenville neighborhood of Jersey City and is extremely active in her community. Natalie has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Hampton University and an MBA in finance and marketing from New York University, Stern School of Business.
Sarah Degnan Barbi Born, raised and educated in Jersey City, with over 20 years of experience in education and school administration, Sarah holds a Masters in Education with a major in Administration and Supervision, Certification in K-5, 9-12 and Headmaster, and a Bachelor in English Literature. She is currently the Assistant Principal / Student Dean at Hudson Catholic Regional High School in Jersey City. She also provides educational counseling for New Jersey Teacher to Teacher and is extremely active in the All Saints Catholic Academy school community as a volunteer parent.
