Seeking Shoe Repair, Ink Cartridge Bargains: Franny The Shopaholic | lifestyles

FRANNY D’ANGELO For the press

Dear Franny The Shopaholic, A few years ago you helped me find twist top gallon bags that I needed for all the baked goods I make. I need your help again please. I have a very good pair of leather shoes (loafers). The paragraph is broken off and missing. Do you know if there is still someone in the area who repairs shoes? Thank you for everything you do. — GJ., Brigantine

Dear GJ: If you don’t mind driving to Tilton Road in Northfield, try David at English Creek Shoe Repair (he used to be at ShopRite on Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township). I’ve used it a lot and it does a good job. I have emailed you the link.

Dear Franny The Shopaholic, Standard capacity #125 printer ink for my Epson printer costs up to $85 for four cartridges (one black and three colors) at Walmart. They barely last a year! Staples and Best Buy are even more expensive. Do you know a more sensible place? Thank you for always helping us with better offers. Love your weekly column. God bless you and stay healthy. -Jennifer S., Millville

Dear Jennifer: I have ordered printer ink many times Inkjets.com. They sell the Epson 125 remanufactured ink cartridges in the four-piece combination of three colors and one black for $18.95. When you open the website there is a link that gives you a 15% discount if you spend $29 or more. They don’t look exactly like the genuine Epson inks but they work and are so much cheaper. I have emailed you the link.

Dear Franny The Shopaholic, I’m looking for Cape Gourmet Atlantic Salmon (not wild caught). ShopRite no longer carries it. Can I order this directly somewhere? I’ve searched the internet but can’t find it anywhere. I find it to be the best and most convenient frozen salmon. Packed in individual pieces. Thank you for your help. – Donna, Cape May

Dear Donna: Unfortunately, Cape Gourmet no longer has Atlantic Salmon on their website. In fact, they don’t have any salmon at all. Aldi has very reasonable prices for salmon. Simply portion and freeze yourself.
