Who is doubling their size during the pandemic? ITG Arizona!

By Andy Slawetsky – Fresh off their 10th anniversary, Imagine Technology Group (ITG Arizona) picks up steam.

While many office equipment resellers have seen sales fall 20% to 30% since the pandemic began in 2020, ITG has more than doubled its sales.

Office equipment in Arizona

With nearly 50 employees working out of their headquarters in Chandler, Arizona, ITG serves customers in the Phoenix area and beyond, including in places like Flagstaff and Tempe.

Rudy Parga and Chad Schwartz jointly run the company and sell copiers/MFPs from Spicy, Toshiba, Lexmark, Brothers and other.

When it comes to document management, ITG relies on partner products DocuWarea well-known provider in this field.

In addition to print-based services including managed print from a software company paper cutoffers ITG mailing solutions, telephone systems, managed IT and security systems.

Christy Gallegos, Director of Sales and Major Accounts, gave me the grand tour. They have been in the two story 20,000 square foot building for 7 years and have already outgrown it. They are currently in the process of looking for more space. It’s a good problem!

After touring the facility we sat and chatted for a while so I could learn more about this amazing story.

Many office equipment retailers have struggled over the past two years. A handful have held their ground. Then there are the rare ones that have actually thrived. And they thrive.

How did you do that? Old school. They do this by networking, schmoozing, and just caring about their customers. For example, with the Waste Management Phoenix Open coming to town next week, ITG will offer an incredible experience to some customers and prospects; Tickets, food and a fantastic day of world class golf. Satisfied customers are often regular customers.

The ITG story

Chad founded ITG 11 years ago and Rudy left his job as a lawyer to join as his partner in 2018.

Rudy’s experience as a lawyer was particularly helpful in her success in signing local law firms. He knows the people in the field and he understands what they need.

Chad has been in the business for over 20 years and his team is made up of experienced veterinarians, most of whom have also been in the industry for years. In fact, one of her great strengths has been her ability to retain talent – something that poses a challenge for the majority of this industry. Your people are happy and they stay for years.

in summary

Doubling their size during COVID-19 was quite an achievement. But they don’t sit still. The plan is for great growth. Big news will come from this team in the years to come and we will be here to report it. Stay tuned!
